1) team work is important as i helps to enhance and improve development. somethimes there may be communication breakdown.
2. The government played important role in providing necessary support, e.g literacy, healthcare
3) The game has sufficient indicators to help students understand the development of a country. But can be confusing and need to be very familair with the structure of the game.

1. It's more fun playing the game in a team! Enjoyed the jesting at one another but most importantly, the satisfaction shared at maintaining the suply of inputs and making sure they do not run out!

2. Every aspect of the economy is so important as they are interlinked.

3. Realised the importance of the government! Our team depended so much on the government to clean up the environment, provid skilled workers, hospitals and save us when we run out of machinery/technology LOL...

team members will realise that they have to communicate in order to develop their city. This will help them to see the inter relationship between the different indicators and the importance of their individual roles. Th speed round will generate much excitement.

1) There may be difficulties achieving desired outcomes when different memebrs in the team have different priorities in the game.

2) Development is not just economic in nature, but also include environmental indicators etc.

3) I learn that it is a difficult task for administrators to manage so many indicators in a city or country's development.

1) Like: Division of work
Dislike: Lack of knowledge of what others might be doing

2) Govt policies/strategies; labor type; educational level etc; Interdependency

3) Game does not include other "humane" factors like QOL and wealth distribution that are aspects of development that tend to be obscured in the discussion.

Working as a team implies heavy reliance on other team players so that the intended goal is achieved.
There are also dire consequences from one's action as it may influence and affect the overall outcome.
This interdependence is good as it promotes healthy team bonding and also cooperation with other players.
However, some areas that the players might need to note include the importance of communication and the possibility of technical glitches. Players need to ensure that they interact and communicate their ideas clearly to one another, as well as take into account the other members' input. Lastly, technical glitches, like the game 'hanging' might be unavoidable, but predicted.

Q1. Working in a team allows more communication amongst team members. However it may add to the noise level if the kids get too excited and would simply shout to other team members.
The feeling of working with each other allows one to feel committed to the game to build the 'best' city as compared to other cities.

Q2. Technology, machinery and Energy seemed to the cruicial parts of the economy without which the city could not develop. Farmers may feel left out in the game as others are very busy.

Q3. Pupils could just be clicking without much consideration of factors or linking to the theme of Development.

1. It helps us to know eac other better and fosters bonding between people. This would allow students to know more about the interrelationship between people in a country. There is a need to think of the bigger picture. If not, the game could not be continued.b The same principle applies in life.

2. Everyone plays an important role for the success of the country. This is especially so for the government as they tend to dictate more than any other people in teh country.

3.It'll be ood to explore on the role of farmers. If people in general are dependant on farmers to produce food, they'll be more engaged in the game. Also, we;ll be able to really see the competition for land and resources then as now, the role of farmers are rather passive.

1)As a team, we learnt how to manege communication and our responsibilities. Each member takes ownership over his/her role but has to learn how to work with others. We resolve problems together, tapping on the help of each member. I think at the student level, there may be a need for the teacher to step in at times to manage group dynamics and emotions.

2) The government's role is extremely important in setting directions and managing resources. It was hard to pinpoint to which factor hampered a city's development, hence we've to look at how the different indicators comes into play with each other.

3) The game would be a good introduction to the development of cities. But students wuld also have to follow up with case studies of different cities, as different cities depend on different resources for their development. eg. Singapore heavily dependent on skilled labour and education and little on agriculture.

I like the group learning. When one person has an "aha" moment, the other group members get to share his/her new knowledge as well. I also like this game requires communication skills to build a successful city.

Pitfalls:
People who play only a single role may not understand the role of another player. e.g. person playing role of farmer may not understand the more complicated role of the government.
